From Sophia:

As a lover of deep connection, I’ve always dedicated myself to asking questions and working to genuinely understand the experiences of those around me. This has become all the more important as I’ve started to study journalism and psychology at Northwestern; I’ve grown to become even more passionate about each of these fields, exploring the overlap of care and compassion absolutely central to both.

In my free time, you can find me on stage singing and playing guitar, rushing around the kitchen preparing the spiciest curries and pastas, and exploring Chicago with friends (Wicker Park is always my suggestion). I love reading, organizing elaborate dinner parties, heartfelt conversations over matcha, and going on spontaneous late-night ice cream runs. I have two cats, Sonnu and Sugar, and with how much they love staring out the window and pondering life (or whatever it is that they’re pondering), I know they’d be such avid writers if they could hold a pen.
