From Dr. DeCosmo:

As someone who has experienced anxiety, imposter syndrome, and my own health challenges, I try to foster a relatable and non-judgemental environment. Whether you are dealing with persistent anxiety, burnout and stress, the challenges of chronic illness, or the effects of a traumatic experience, I strive to create a collaborative space that allows you to explore your experiences and develop practical tools for healing and growth. My goal is to empower each person I work with to reclaim their quality of life, and to rebuild a path forward grounded in strength, empowerment, and self-awareness. My therapeutic style is compassionate yet direct, evidence-based, and focuses on enhancing each person’s unique abilities to navigate their life stressors and achieve their goals.

In my personal time, you can often find me watching the latest reality show on Bravo (special shout out to RHOBH and Summer House), spending time with my partner and family, and going on a long lakefront run. I am a music lover and spend much of my time listening to NPR Tiny Desk, attending concerts, or finding the nearest live music bar. I am born and raised in Chicago and am involved in the community and grass roots organizations. Currently, I sit on the board of Rainbows for All Children, a local non-profit that provides services and resources to families and children navigating grief and loss.

I firmly believe that everyone has the inherent strength to create the life they want to live. Resiliency and compassion is within everyone, and through therapy, we can work together to find and foster the things that matter most to you. I look forward to working with you.
